Concept: To engage with tradition and philosophical thinking that unites people.
The focus is on time and structure. Research referenced ancient forms, construction methods and materials. The triangular formations found in mud and straw constructions in Riyadh which offer great structural stability, strength, and are also found in Egyptian shapes, African carving, & in philosophy meanings, suggesting perspective, growth, direction. In sculptural language the forms offered me an opportunity to explore depth, repeat imagery, strength & form.
