Title: ‘BioBío’ Construction Materials: Mild Steel and Enamel paint Size: 3m high Concept: To express a fusion of unique natural phenomena, utilising the flowing forms of the second greatest river in Chile the BioBio, which is also an important landmark for indigenous people. The sculpture’s shapes also pick up on the forms of the Chilean butterfly Lepidoptera: Rhopalocera. Chile has a unique flora and fauna due to the isolation caused by the Andes and the Pacific Ocean. By incorporating elements of all my areas of study my aim was to create a poetic combination which responded to and encapsulated meanings. Permanently sited in El Prado Park, Santiago, Chile 2018
